Born in the capital of Turkey, Ankara, Baris Konbal studied cinema at Istanbul University, graduating in 2010.
To further extend his experience during his school years, he worked as a Production Assistant and Assistant Director.
His cinematography career commenced with short films and documentaries, working for both domestic and multi-national production companies.
His work continued with TV commercials and music videos, while extensively travelling for work within the MENA region, Turkey, later expanding to Europe, USA and Mexico.
Aside from his passion for cinematography, he enjoys traveling the world and experiencing different cultures, and has a taste for fine arts and architecture that nourishes his mind and soul.
He believes that throughout a person’s life, every new day offers a unique learning experience.
He is currently based in Doha, Qatar.
